I was on with a member of the\u00a0T.I.P crew recently,\u00a0expressing my opinions and\u00a0bewilderment (pouting, essentially)\u00a0about why energetic beings having a\u00a0human experience continue to agree on\u00a0this\u00a0gnarly hallucination of\u00a0a timeline\u00a0wherein, among MYRIAD outrages, not nearly enough of us\u00a0are accessing\u00a0our\u00a0intuitive abilities.\u00a0(I was also grumping about\u00a0how I\u00a0still\u00a0can’t move things with my mind unless under great duress,\u00a0but that’s a story for another day – and probably\u00a0Patreon<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And my girl goes:\u00a0“Ilka,\u00a0people are scared. I was nervous asf before my first session.\u00a0You forget that you’re\u00a0used to floating through space\u00a0and having conversations with beetles, but Barry O’Larry\u00a0dunno what’s going down once you get all up in his\u00a0chakras. So\u00a0he’s a little spooked. On top of that,\u00a0you’re not\u00a0a\u00a0flimflam artist\u00a0and people\u00a0sense that what you’re gonna tell them will be legit, so it’s extra unnerving.” And I, simultaneously displeased by\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0willing to accept the salience of her point, made noises of begrudge, because my dream of marginalized people\u00a0and their accomplices knocking back oppressors with\u00a0our mind beams\u00a0continues to be delayed and I have patience\u00a0challenges.\u00a0<fights air>\u00a0\u00a0 Plus\u00a0this entrepreneurship jam\u00a0continues to be wild, y’all. <plays\u00a0singing bowl, trusts process>. Anyway, because I\u00a0love confirmation, the very next day, after\u00a0performing\u00a0a\u00a0fairly\u00a0mundane\u00a0magical task while in the presence of\u00a0another\u00a0favorite whom\u00a0I clown regularly\u00a0because they refuse\u00a0to book a proper reading and we all know they\u00a0want\u00a0one –\u00a0the following\u00a0exchange occurred:\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Them: Did you just [redacted] with your witch powers?
Me: I did. Now you try. 
Them: <balks, attempts thing, is immediately successful>  
Me: You do know you also have witch powers. 
Them: I know but I’m scared of them. 
Me: Well you just used ’em and we’re all still here. 
Them: You hush, Ilka. 
Me: <twinkles>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moral(s)\u00a0of the story?
1.\u00a0Fear not\u00a0your witch powers, when used responsibly, they can change your life.\u00a0Besides, now’s as good a time as any to access your\u00a0clair-cetera\u00a0abilities. See\u00a0earlier\u00a0comment\u00a0re: the more\u00a0wack aspects of “reality”.
