I had to leave the city last minute and was so anxious about finding a sitter… Luckily, Ilka swooped in and saved the day! Not only was Ilka kind and communicative, she went above and beyond with her care. Scar, a rescue, is timid, but immediately warmed up to Ilka and was even nudging her hand for pets! Simba, our naughty one, is usually a handful and I felt bad explaining his care instructions, but Ilka was very warm and so generous about offering her support. She clearly took great care of the two boys and they were very happy, as evident in the pictures she took for me. Ilka left my apartment in excellent shape and had even washed the ziplock bags that I used for the dogs’ meals. She is amazing!!

Ilka has been such a blessing!! My cat had some pretty tough health diagnoses about a month before a long trip, and I was feeling quite nervous about leaving. Meeting Ilka made me feel at peace about my decision to take my trip. I felt her calming presence and could see she was an extremely experienced, organized, and caring cat sitter.
My cat generally loves most people, but Ilka immediately bonded with him in such a personal way that he didn’t want her to leave after her initial visit! She was great about giving him his full battery of vitamins and even learned how to administer his inhaler. She has a great sense of what animals need and even tried a few new tricks to help him enjoy his food more. I could tell she gave him lots of snuggles and attention because he was sooo relaxed when I came back, and he usually is very needy after I’ve had a long trip.
She left my apartment in better condition than she found it. The place was so clean, and she even stripped the sheets she used.
I would 1000% recommend Ilka to anyone – she’s a blessing!

Ilka provided excellent care for our dog Pavo during a 28-day stay while we were abroad. She ensured regular exercise and mental stimulation, keeping us updated with videos and quick responses to our inquiries. Despite a maintenance issue, she handled it efficiently, coordinating with the landlord and using alternate facilities. Pavo enjoyed his time with her, and we highly recommend her services!

It was such a pleasure to meet Ilka and have her watch our two nine-month-old kittens and our home while we were away! Ilka was a delight. She was easy to communicate with, friendly, and funny. She was quick to communicate some issues we were having with a light fixture and went out of her way to rearrange her schedule to be home for a surprise delivery of flowers.
Most of all, she coaxed connections out of our shyest cats Anastasia and Bastet, and connected deeply with our sweetest one, Zelda. The photos and videos Ilka regularly sent meant that we were sure our cats were happy and that we could enjoy our vacation without worry.
